Learn how to pitch art stories at Artomatic

Posted on April 22, 2024April 27, 2024 by Maria De Los Angeles

CALLING ALL DC SPIRITUAL ARTISTS! HeartCenteredDC will be at Artomatic this coming weekend.

Here’s what’s happening:

The meet part

I’m launching a new blog called HeartCenteredDC that explores the intersection of art, culture and spirituality in the nation’s capital. Are you an artist, performer or other creative who creates in that intersection? Do you live and/or create work mostly in DC? Come by and introduce yourself! I would love to meet you so I can add you to my ever-growing database of artists.

The workshop part

Ever wonder how to pitch a story to an editor or a journalist? Here’s a chance to practice. Pitch me a story about your art! Don’t know how to do that? Don’t worry! Come with an idea.

Don’t want to pitch me a story, but have a general question about media, blog posts, press releases and such? Come by and ask away. We all love to create our art, but how do we talk about it? Come with your burning questions.

Registration for this free session is optional, but encouraged here.

Where: 2100 M Street NW, Second Floor, Classroom 200
When: Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 12:00 – 1:30 PM

Questions? Feel free to contact me.
